This file includes VIN / Year / Make / Model for US Consumer and Light duty commercial vehicles 1981-present. Using the CSV file is probably the easiest way to perform VIN validation, or simply to decode to a basic level. Licensing costs are dependent on usage and distribution. If more information than the basic data points is required, this data can be delivered via the XML VIN service, or a series of full tables can be made available. (See below). You can view a CSV file sample from the right menu as well as a supporting worksheet which shows how to easily match a 17-digit VIN to the provided VIN pattern.
