Use your favorite mail client (such as Outlook Express or Eudora) to read mail provided by your own application. How? That's easy part: just put wodPop3Server control on your form, add some code around and it's all setup to be used.

If you dislike adding additional code - it's fine by wodPop3Server. It will still work, and reject all the clients (with bad username/password error). But, if you add login capabilities using 'Connected' event (that's easy part - set Action = Allow for specific username/password combination). Still, if you want to make real Pop3 server application, look no more for native support for socket related material - you just found it.

wodPop3Server will deal with clients and connections - you must deal with messages. Once new user logs on to your Pop3 server, you need to provide any kind of information about his mail. This is really easy task. If you keep all the emails in separate files, that's just great for usage with wodPop3Server.

To connect to remote FTP server, the user application calls HsFtpCliConnect, supplying connection parameters, such as remote FTP server name or IP address, username and password for authentication etc and a pointer to callback function that the HS FTP module uses to communicate with the user code.

When the control FTP connection is established and HS FTP has successfully passed user / password FTP account authentication phase, the user application is asynchronously notified via user event callback function with HS_FTPCLI_USR_EV_LOGGEDIN event. Serial Port Redirector is used to connect a serial application to a remote TCP socket. This allows you to utilize modern hardware COM servers without changing your software or exchange data between a TCP/IP application and an old-fashioned program that can only connect to a serial port.

Serial Port Redirector creates a two-way bridge between a serial application and a specific TCP port at a specified IP address. This is done by creating virtual COM ports. When a serial application connects to one of these COM ports, a connection is established to a specified host and all the data from the COM port gets redirected via the Internet or a Local Area Network. The program receives data from network and redirects them to virtual COM port. It works transparently for serial apps. They use virtual COM ports as if they were connected directly to your hardware devices. With Serial Port Redirector, you can easily control remote hardware COM servers via a TCP/IP network from your serial application designed to work with locally connected devices only.
